6 reasons you should stay at hanoi rocks hostel

Hanoi is the beautiful, characteristic capital of Vietnam. After a long 18 hours of traveling, we finally made to the first destination of our Vietnam itinerary. Get a safe transfer to the hostel using their airport pick up for 18 USD $ a car.  We hopped in and drove to Hanoi Rocks, our city home for the first days.

After 2 weeks in Bali, the travel sickness fell on all of us. (To anyone who travels to Southeast Asia, you know what I mean.) So the first few days we stayed in and explored the loud streets of Hanoi. Thankfully, we stayed at one of the top notch hostels of the capital: Hanoi Rocks Hostel.

Here are six reasons you should definitely stay at Hanoi Rocks Hostel when you visit Hanoi:

• Location:  Hanoi Rocks is a booming youth hostel in the middle of the busy streets in the Old Quarter. Make sure you don’t get lost in the maze of streets. Around the corner you’ll find a great little stand where Banh Mi, a local delicious sandwich, is sold.

• Free city tour; During the free city tour, our guide took us around the Old Quarter where we stopped at some popular spots and had coffee in the oldest coffee shop/living room in Hanoi. Vietnamese coffee is a real delight, and with this heat ice coffee is a necessity. For the life of me, I cannot remember the name of the coffee house, but it was definitely worth the visit. All the more reasons to book Hanoi Rocks!

• Free beer (!) from 6PM to 7PM and a number of good deals thorough the night!
• Free breakfast; Honestly, they have a mouthwatering buffet style breakfast for all backpackers! Pancakes, fresh fruit, eggs,… Every morning, all morning.

• Awesome staff who will drag you into playing beer pong and king’s cup; needless to say, there are no boring nights at Hanoi Rocks Hostel..
